Tamworth Castle by Helens-Serendipity Tamworth Castle by Helens-Serendipity
A great place to spend some time, with great views. Never come across a Castle that's in the centre of town before (except Nottingham... & this is even closer than ours).
It's an odd building with many added additions over the years.. but we all like to leave our mark, don't we? ;)

This is making me so homesick, but its nice when people take such nice pics of the castle. I haven't been actually in it for a few years now. That path is a nightmare when icy lol.

Media Communications, although over the summer it changed to Culture and Comms. In my final year, and I'm going to miss Lincoln too when I leave. Going to get some shots of the Christmas Market this year though.

That sounds interesting.. i do hope you do well
It is a nice place & i've always found the Lincolnshire people friendly. That's a good idea... we've done the market a few times but not for the last couple of years, might go too for pic's ;)

I would have expected quite a few places to have castles in the centre, seeing as villages were built next to the Lord's/Duke's/whatever's places way back when? Hmm..

Most of ours are on private land (stately homes) or on hills that it's not possible to build on :giggle: we don't excatly have sheds for houses anymore :D I think the 'gentry' liked to keep the 'workers' at a distance too ;)

Very nice photo, my favorite of this series. Imho it has the most interesting subject.
The composition is nicely chosen and the perspective is very nice. At first I thought the building was too dark, but the more I look at it the more it feels just right.

Thank you so much... i think it's mine too. It may be slightly dark but it was so overcast which did make it very 'bleached' looking, this is most certainly the better of the two :D

I like this shot - strange that there's a short path to the castle... you'd expect a grand entrance :)
